Las Vegas police say a 63-year-old man who was crossing a street with his 1-year-old granddaughter has died after being hit by a vehicle.
Officer Laura Meltzer says the incident happened a little before 11 a.m. Monday on South Rainbow Boulevard near Warm Springs Road.
Meltzer says the man and the child who he was pushing in a stroller were taken to University Medical Center, where the man was later pronounced dead.
Police say the child was released from the hospital with minor injuries.
Police are looking for a 20-30 year old woman witnesses say was driving the grey Honda Civic that hit the man and child.Â
Police say the car's license plate starts with the numbers 948.
