Sparks Police found drugs and guns after responding to a domestic battery call on E Street.
It happened just before 2 p.m. Friday when a caller told dispatch they believed a woman was being held against her will by her boyfriend.
When officers arrived, they separated the two people and took them outside of the apartment. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Following an investigation, Orville Curtis was arrested.
Officers then obtained a search warrant and found three guns, one of which had been reported stolen. They also found suspected narcotics, drug paraphernalia and other evidence.Â
Curtis is now facing multiple charges including:Â
- Assault with a deadly weapon
- Domestic Battery Causing Substantial Bodily Harm
- Possession of a Stolen Firearm
- Ex-Felon in Possession of Firearm
- Dissuade Victim from Reporting a Crime Resulting in Arrest
- Possession of Firearm While Committing Drug Related Offenses
- Possession of Dangerous Drug without a Prescription
- Possession with Intent to Sell within 1,000 ft of a school
- Possession of Controlled Substance less than 14gÂ
- Possession of Controlled Substance, 42+
- Convicted Person Failure to update Address
- Harassment Constituting Domestic Violence
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
