White House Seeks Disclosure of Actual Health Care Prices

It's a sad paradox but in some countries, assaults on doctors and medical workers illustrate how public fear and rage can turn against the very people risking their lives to save patients in a pandemic.

Many cities across the world erupt at sundown with collective cheers thanking front-line workers for their selfless battle.

But in Egypt, India, the Philippines, Mexico and elsewhere, some doctors and nurses have been attacked, intimidated and treated as pariahs because of their work.

Their governments have tried to shield the medical professionals - yet in some places the scourge of misinformation and deep-rooted distrust of authorities have proven difficult to overcome.
