Missing Dayton High School Students Found Safe, Returned to Their Families

UPDATE: The Lyon County Sheriff's Office says both teens were found safe and were returned to their families on Sept. 17.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding two missing teenagers from Dayton High School.

16-year-old Jay Parsons and 14-year-old Madison Hilke were last seen leaving the school on foot on Friday.

Parsons is described as Asian with brown eyes and dark brown hair, is 5'8" and weighs around 146 pounds. He wears glasses but may not have them on. He has acne on his face and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with maroon writing, a white tee shirt with maroon writing, blue jeans and brown Levi high tops. He has a red and black backpack.

Hilke is described as white with blue eyes and light brown hair. She weighs around 120 pounds and is 5'3". She wears glasses and contacts and was last seen wearing a black tee shirt, blue jeans and white high tops. She has a navy blue backpack and a black and maroon cheer duffel bag. 

They were trying to get a ride to Carson City and they may attempt to go to San Francisco.
