UPDATE: Reno Fire Department says McCarran Boulevard between Skyline Drive and Plumb lane will reopen around 4:15 p.m.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Reno Fire Department (RFD) says a one vehicle crash hit a gas line on Saturday near Cashill Boulevard and McCarran Boulevard.
RFD evacuated a couple of homes in the immediate area. Officials say there is no major threat to the area, and the evacuations were precautionary.
NV Energy is currently attempting to shut down the gas line.
RFD says McCarran Boulevard is closed between Skyline Drive and Plumb Lane, and could be closed for the next hour and a half.
