AUGUST 28 UPDATE:
The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man who died after being shot by Reno Police earlier this month on I-80.
22-year-old Anthony Porter of Sparks died after being shot by police between Mogul and Boomtown on the night of August 23.
The manner of death was homicide, according to a release from the Medical Examiner's Office, and the cause was multiple gunshot wounds.
The Sparks Police Department is handling the investigation.

Sparks Police are investigating a Reno Police shooting that happened on I-80 between Mogul and Boomtown late Sunday night.
Reno Police say they responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m. along with Nevada Highway Patrol after an overturned car was found along the interstate.
While no other immediate details have been released, we do know that the incident resulted in a police shooting.
As a result, the Regional Officer-Involved Shooting Protocol was activated. The Sparks Police Department is the primary investigating agency, with assistance from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.
There is no active threat to public safety.
