CNN reports that multiple U.S. embassies were denied permission to fly the pride flag from their flagpoles by the Trump Administration.

They say embassies are required to get permission from the State Department when flying anything other than the American flag.

CNN says the U.S. embassy in Berlin, where flying the flag had previously been routine, was one of the locations denied permission this year.

They say the ambassador at that embassy, Richard Grenell, is gay and an advocate for LBGTQ rights around the world.

They say Grenell claims he will "hang a huge banner on the side of the Embassy," and host multiple events during pride month.

CNN says the State Department has not responded to requests for comment.
