Nevada's work to lead the nation in drone research is coming to fruition. NASA has announced a partnership with the state of Nevada and with UNR to use virtual reality software with drones flying at the Stead Airport to get the drone industry off the ground.
It's not only a huge deal for drone specialists working at UNR, it's a big deal for students studying drone  science and it's a huge deal for the State of Nevada which hopes to become the place for drone researchers to come in the future.Â
Today they are opening a virtual reality lab that will tie into NASA's database. It's the first of it's kind to go online but eventually will become part of a network for NASA to collect data.Â
