National Park Service Celebrates 100 Years 

The U.S. National Park Service is celebrating its centennial. On August 25th 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed The Organic Act of 1916, creating the National Park Service. 

To celebrate its centennial, all national parks will have free admissions from August 25-28th.

When the act was first signed the new bureau was tasked with managing 14 National Parks and 150 National Monuments, today there is now 58 National Parks and 150 National Monuments.
