Flash Flood Warnings for Carson City, Douglas, Storey and Washoe Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Mono County in northern California until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Doppler radar indicated multiple thunderstorms with heavy rain. National Weather Service says that flash flooding and debris flow are likely, moving across Highway 395 north of Lee Vining. They say locations like Lee Vining, Lee Vining Campgrounds, Lee Vining Airport and Aspen Campground may experience flooding.

National Weather Service says to move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger rock slides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially the area in and around Highway 395.
