Nevada Humane Society Partners with PetSmart for Happy "Neuter-Year"

The Nevada Humane Society teamed up with PetSmart Charities for a "Happy Neuter Year" and is offering $20 neuterings for male dogs and cats. 

"We are offering a very special $20 campaign neuter surgeries for male dogs and male cats," said Kimberly Wade, Director of Communications for the Nevada Humane Society.

They are offering over 500 neutering procedures for the special price through the end of the month. A major savings, but more importantly, a major solution. 

"Not only does it only prevent them from fathering an unwanted litter of puppies or kittens, but it reduces those unwanted behaviors, the barking, the hissing, the roaming, the growing, the marking of the territories. All those different things are actually put to rest when you neuter your pets," said Wade.

Wade says this special $20 rate is available to all residents in Washoe County and Carson City but appointments are limited. Weight limits of pets cannot exceed 100 pounds.
