Prophet Premium Blends is recalling all of its Diamond Shruumz products due to toxic levels of a chemical found in certain mushrooms.
39 people in 20 states, including Nevada, have reported symptoms such as seizures, agitation, involuntary muscle contractions, loss of consciousness, confusion, sleepiness, nausea and vomiting, abnormal heart rates and hyper/hypotension.
Out of the 39 people with symptoms, 23 were hospitalized, according to the FDA.
According to the company, the chemical muscimol may be responsible for causing the symptoms.
The recall includes all Diamond Shruumz cones, chocolate bars and gummies, both micro and mega/extreme-doses.
This recall comes about two weeks after four people, including one in Nevada, fell ill after eating Diamond Shruumz microdosing chocolate bars. Some of those people have to be intubated.
If you have purchased any Diamond Shruumz products, you are asked to stop using them, and contact the company for a refund.
