According to the Truckee Police Department, the body of the victim of Wednesday's drowning in Donner Lake has been recovered.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Emergency crews are searching for a man who is presumed to be missing after a canoe flipped over in the middle of Donner Lake on Wednesday afternoon.

Truckee Police say a nearby windsurfer was able to save one man but the other one remains currently missing.

Authorities say it appears neither man wore a life jacket, after the 3:30 p.m. incident.

A multi-agency public safety response including boat and dive teams along with air resources from Calstar and CHP are helping in the search.
