Beefy's has reopened its doors to the public after initially closing for renovations in December. 

Before closing, owner Patrick Gallagher's health permit was set to expire, and he had to transfer it under his name. Under new requirements, Gallagher's new renovations include a reworked kitchen, new flooring, and a revamped layout. 

Gallagher had his main cook assist him during the renovation process, working without pay and living in Gallagher's basement.  

Beefy's is open from 11 A.M. - 8 P.M. from Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sundays.

It's located on 1300 S Virgina St in midtown Reno.
