The Storey County Sheriff's Office has revealed that a beloved member of the force, police horse Diesel, has passed away.
In a post on their Facebook page today, the SCSO says Diesel served for 16 years and was the "pride of the fleet."
"He was not only an incredible police horse, he was also our beloved and most treasured family horse, and a true crowd favorite wherever he went," read a statement included in the post from Mike, Roxanne, Megan, and Kasia McCreary, and the entire SCSO family.
