The Bureau of Land Management has approved the Wildcat Exploration Project in the Seven Troughs Range of Pershing County.
Millennial NV, LLC, previously submitted a proposal to assess gold mining potential across more than 12,000 public and private acres.
The approved project includes the construction of drilling pads; access road improvements and maintenance; monitoring well and measurement installations; water production wells and piping; geochemical and geotechnical data collection including trenching, test-pitting, and borehole drilling; and laydown yards.Â

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is asking for public input on their preliminary Environmental Assessment for the Wildcat Exploration Project for Nevada.
The project encompasses approximately 12,000 acres both public and private in the Seven Troughs Range of Pershing County.Â
Millennial NV, LLC is proposing to assess gold mining potential by unsettling approximately 400 acres, 365 of those being on public lands.Â
Public comment is encouraged, the period is open and closes on July 2, 2024.Â
The BLM prefers written comments be uploaded, they can be submitted through the "Participate Now" option by CLICKING HERE.Â
Written comments can also be delivered to Wildcat Exploration Project, BLM Winnemucca District Office at 5100 East Winnemucca Blvd., Winnemucca, NV 89445 and must be postmarked by no later than July 2, 2024.Â
