Bear with us, but one Tahoe local may have stolen the spotlight from the celebrities in town for the American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament.
A bear made its way through the beaches and restaurants of South Lake Tahoe over the weekend, taking a leisurely stroll along a walking path while crowds ate nearby. The bear appeared completely comfortable, calmly continuing its walk without a care in the world, almost like it had a reservation.
One of our viewers, Carly Corella, captured the video while enjoying a meal at Riva Grill and shared the moment with us. The video shows the bear making its way along the path as people walk nearby, with the unexpected visitor looking completely unfazed by its growing fan club.
The bear seemed to be headed toward the beach, perhaps looking for a front-row seat to the Tahoe scenery or simply enjoying a pawsitively perfect day out. While golfers and celebrities gathered nearby for the tournament, this furry Tahoe resident created its own buzz and quickly became the weekend’s most talked-about visitor.
No clubs, no scorecard, and no tee time needed. It may not have been competing for a trophy, but this Tahoe bear definitely earned plenty of attention and proved Tahoe wildlife knows how to make an entrance.
Thanks to Carly Corella for sharing the video with us and giving everyone a glimpse of this bear-y memorable Tahoe moment.
