California Highway Patrol is warning drivers once again to drive carefully through the pass, as another storm passes through leaving snow and icy conditions.
CHP says that Donner Summit is unpredictable, with chain controls in effect and spinouts causing delays.
In addition to the delays, they report that I-80 eastbound is R2 from the Donner Lake interchange to Rainbow.
I-80 westbound is R2 from Kingvale to the Donner Lake interchange.
As a reminder, R2 controls means that chains or traction devices are required on all vehicles except four-wheel/all-wheel drive vehicles with snow tires on all four wheels.
Trucks are at minimum restrictions.
