Update (9/19, 5:11 p.m.):

The Kings Fire is now contained; this means a fuel break has been completed around the fire's perimeter.

The final size estimate is 1/10 of an acre.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Firefighters are on scene of a small lightning-sparked wildfire in Mt. Rose Wilderness above Incline Village. 

Fire crews are cutting a line around the perimeter in an effort to stop it from possibly spreading. 

North Lake Tahoe Fire says the King Fire has burned about 2,000 square feet.

The Forest Service says Tahoe Rim Trail hikers, and Mt. Rose Wilderness visitors can expect to see smoke, fire crews, equipment and helicopter activity.
