Today is National First Responders Day, a day to honor and thank the men and women who are first on the scene when emergencies happen.
The day recognizes firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, and 911 operators for their commitment to protecting communities and saving lives.
Across the country, agencies and organizations are sharing messages of appreciation for those who serve on the front lines.
While local agencies have posted their own messages of thanks, 2 News Nevada is taking a moment to recognize first responders across Northern Nevada and the surrounding regions and show appreciation for their courage and dedication.
This day is dedicated to recognizing the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of first responders. We also remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty, honoring their legacy and the risks all first responders face every day.
From 2 News Nevada, we thank all who serve and protect in our communities and celebrate their service.
