UPDATE
One lane is now back open at I-80 west near Alta around 1:30 p.m. after a semi-truck crash, according to a Caltrans District post.

The crash happened after 11 a.m. on Friday.Â
Emergency crews are on scene, including CAL FIRE and Placer County.
The roadway is expected to be closed for some time for debris cleanup.Â
