The Plumas County Sheriff's Office says a Reno woman died after a boating collision at Frenchman Lake on Saturday.
Deputies say they responded to near the Frenchman Lake Boat Launch just after 11:15 a.m. to find a boating collision involving a personal watercraft and a recreational boat.
Lifesaving efforts were immediately started on the woman of the personal watercraft, but 47-year-old Sandra Ann Skender died on scene.
Deputies say a preliminary investigation indicates that the collision happened on the lake, but circumstances remain unclear at this point.
Deputies say alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision.
The investigation remains active.
