Caltrans District 3 is offering a $1,500 transportation scholarship to a student this year.
The application is available to any high school seniors, or first- or second-year college students, attending a school in any of the following counties:
- Butte
- Colusa
- Glenn
- El Dorado
- Place
- Nevada
- Sacramento
- Sierra
- Sutter
- Yolo
- Yuba
Students must be pursuing a career in transportation that requires college instruction or vocational training.
Financial need and involvement in extracurricular activities will also be taken into consideration.
