On Friday, law enforcement agencies in Nevada will start the "Click it or Ticket" Joining Forces Seatbelt Enforcement Campaign. The campaign will go through the end of the month.
The campaign aims to increase law enforcement participation by coordinating highly visible patrols across the State of Nevada looking for seatbelt violations and educating the public about seatbelts and their importance in a crash.
As of September, there have been 287 deaths on Nevada roadways, with 50 being unbelted motorists.
Law enforcement agencies will be taking a no excuse approach to seatbelt enforcement and will be issuing citations throughout the campaign.
