The Douglas County Sheriff's Office made 11 arrests during the Fourth of July.

This included 10 arrests in the Lake Tahoe area and one in the Valley.

Out of the 10 arrests made near Lake Tahoe, three people were charged with consuming an illegal substance as a minor, two with assault on an officer, four with obstructing, one with trespassing, two with resisting, one with possession of a controlled substance, two with possession of paraphernalia, four with DUI, one with being an intoxicated pedestrian on the highway, and one with child neglect.

In the Valley, one person was arrested and charged with DUI and consuming an illegal substance as a minor.

In addition to the 11 arrests, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, with help from the Nevada State Police, removed 23 illegally parked cars from Highway 50. It also issued 18 citations for parking and traffic violations.
