Marlette Ave fire

An investigation is underway after a fire damaged a garage in Reno early Thursday morning. 

Fire crews responded to the Marlette Avenue home just before 7 a.m. - near Rancho San Rafael Regional Park. 

Firefighters say the fire started in the living room, then spread to the garage - the area sustained major damage. 

Reno Fire says two people were home when the fire started - they were not injured. 

Nearly 30 personnel responded to the fire, making sure it did not reach the attic. 

They say the people living there will be temporarily displaced while the damage is repaired.Â
