The City of Reno will use a $120,000 grant from the Reno Rodeo Association to make accessibility improvements at the Idlewild Park Splash pad.
According to the city, the grant will be used to, "improve, expand and add new features specifically designed to better serve individuals with disabilities."
The grant was funded through the Reno Rodeo Association's Special Kids Fund, which is supported through tips collected during the annual Reno Rodeo.
Construction is expected to start in September, and the project is expected to be completed by Spring of 2027.
