Authorities say three Stockton residents face charges are being arrested on USA Parkway in a stolen car late Monday morning.
Storey County deputies say they were alerted to the stolen car on USA Parkway and conducted a traffic stop, just after 10:45 a.m.
Upon investigation, they say they learned that the passenger brought the car to the driver’s home so they could take a scenic road trip. The driver said yes and they eventually picked up the third person, a woman.
While stopped, police say the three did not know the car was stolen, with two of them saying it was on loan from a friend. That’s when deputies say they spoke with the actual owner who told them he did not know the trio.
