As the snowstorm continues, cars are now able to drive along I-80 through Donner Summit, with chain restrictions in place.
Semi trucks are not allowed at this time, until conditions improve.
Officials also say to be prepared by having extra clothing, a full tank of gas, good wiper blades, with mud and snow rated tires, chains, or four-wheel drive.
