UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 8:
The motorcyclist killed in a crash on U.S. 50 has been identified, and the pickup driver involved has been arrested.
The motorcyclist was identified as 54-year-old Christopher Edward Wade of Carson City.
The preliminary investigation found a Ford F-150 traveling westbound on U.S. 50 failed to yield while turning left onto Drako Way. Wade was traveling eastbound in the right travel lane when the pickup's right front struck the front of the motorcycle.
The driver of the pickup, an adult woman, was arrested for suspected impaired driving.
The crash remains under investigation by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team.

Nevada State troopers are investigating a deadly crash on eastbound U.S. 50 near Drako Way in Carson City.
The crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to Nevada State Police, the crash involved a motorcycle and a truck. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say impairment is suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
