The Carson City School District is looking to fill a variety of open positions and will give local job seekers a chance to connect directly with hiring representatives during an upcoming job fair.
The event will be held Tuesday, July 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Carson City School District Office Board Room, 1402 W. King St. in Carson City.
Representatives from the district and Edustaff, the district's official partner for substitute staffing, will be available to meet with applicants.
The district has immediate openings for bus drivers, substitute teachers, licensed teachers, paraprofessionals, substitute paraprofessionals, substitute custodians, substitute cooks and bakers, grounds workers, and other positions. Opportunities include entry-level, part-time, and full-time jobs.
“These roles and our employees are vital to maintaining continuity in our classrooms and supporting daily operations across the district,” said Dan Carstens, Chief Human Resources Officer for the Carson City School District. “Our partnership with Edustaff will continue to help us strengthen our substitute workforce and ensure many important positions are filled.”
Edustaff will be on site and ready to hire for substitute teacher positions. Anyone with a high school diploma is eligible to become a substitute teacher, offering a flexible option for people interested in working in local schools.
The hiring event is free and does not require registration. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally, bring multiple copies of their resume, and be prepared to meet hiring managers.
