The Carson City Fire Department (CCFD) is reminding is everyone the importance of fall clean-up can help protect homes against wildfires.
CCFD says on a Facebook post, the public can schedule trailer or dumpster drop offs to their house to help assist in yard cleanup.
Fire officials also say, the dumpster program has helped remove 237 tons of yard debris from over 300 acres this year.
Tips from CCFD:
- Clean leaves out of gutters
- Rake pine needles and leaves out of yard
- Trim vegetation and prepare defensible spaces
