A man is dead after a shooting on Sun Valley Boulevard on Sunday night.
Deputies initially responded to a call for a battery with a deadly weapon between the driver of a car and a motorcyclist. When they arrived on scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
He was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
His name has not been released.
The intersection was temporarily closed for the investigation, but is now back open.

The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident near the Rainbow Market at El Rancho Drive and Sun Valley Boulevard in Sun Valley. No details have been released.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office posted on their Facebook page around 8 p.m. Sunday that the situation prompted the closure of the intersection at Clear Acre Ln./Sun Valley Blvd and Dandini Blvd./El Rancho Dr.
They say there is no danger to the public.
