According to a release from RTC, the project aims to make the roundabouts safer for drivers and pedestrians, as well as reduce crashes and improve the way the lanes are utilized.

The upcoming changes include adding a second circulating lane to access Scheels Drive at the center roundabout, and improving signage and adding flashing pedestrian beacons for safety.

The RTC says that work on this project will be done at night, from 9:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m., to attempt to reduce the impact on the public.
