Nevada State Police responded Friday night to a crash on State Route 227 in Elko County near Spring Creek High School.
Two vehicles were involved in the crash.
One of the drivers, 61-year old Isabel Rosas of Spring Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The crash is considered an open investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit.
