A bicyclist is in critical condition after a crash Monday evening near Pickett Park.
It happened at the intersection of Ryland and Locust Streets just after 5 p.m., according to a release from the Reno Police Department.
The 65-year-old bicyclist suffered major head injuries in the crash. They were not wearing a helmet or any other protective safety gear, according to police.
The involved driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Speed and impairment do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
The identity of the bicyclist has not yet been released.
