Speeding may be to blame after a car crash on Socrates Drive in Reno early Tuesday afternoon.Â
The crash happened just before 1:30 p.m. near Greenstone Drive.Â
REMSA along with Reno Fire and University Police responded.
A driver had crashed into a tree and had to be removed from the car. He was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Reno Police say speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
A portion of the roadway is temporarily closed while crews clear the crash site.
The Major Accident Investigate Team (MAIT) is investigating.Â
