Investigators released new details about a fatal flight near Empire.

A pilot suffered minor injuries after a small plane crashed onto a snowy mountainside in Elko County on Sunday.

There's no immediate word on what caused the crashes. 

The NTSB has released a preliminary report on last month's deadly plane crash near North Lake Tahoe. 

One person was rescued after the crash just after 10 a.m. Saturday.

A plane has landed on the playa near the train tracks west of Gerlach. It is not yet known if the landing was due to an emergency.
