Authorities have identified the driver who died in a crash in Fernley earlier this month.
The crash happened just before 1 p.m. on August 11th on U.S. 50A near 6th Street.
Nevada State Police troopers say 75-year-old Steven Voris of Papillion, Nebraska was driving a 2017 Honda CR-V east on U.S. 50A when the car went on the right shoulder and a hit a road sign. It then continued east across Lois Lane and through the front yard of a business where the SUV hit another sign, went across 6th Street and it hit a house - before it finally stopped.
NSP says Voris died on scene, but based on witness statements and car damage, his cause is not believed to be from the crash. NSP says an official cause of death is now pending through the medical examiner, but the agency does say that foul play is not suspected.
NSP says a woman passenger was not seriously hurt.
