UPDATE - April 17:
A Tahoe-based coffee shop has been working on an expansion into Reno for the last year, and now the first of two planned locations is officially ready to open.
DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF, which currently operates shops in Truckee, Incline Village, and South Lake Tahoe, announced they will open their fourth brick-and-mortar location in South Reno this Friday, April 18, at the South Creek shopping center off of S. Virginia Street and S. Meadows Parkway, formerly home to Bibo Coffee.
Remodeling is complete, and the grand opening will include free coffee for all guests, all day long.
This new shop marks the brand's first retail location within the city of Reno, after years of serving Reno residents through partnerships with Whitney Peak, Walden’s, Rancharrah, Raley’s O-N-E Market, and others.
The new café will maintain the same hours, pricing, and menu as its other locations, open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The South Reno shop says it features thoughtful design details including a custom mural by acclaimed Reno-based artist Hannah Eddy, photography by Tahoe's Ryland West, and accents made from reclaimed wood.
The new DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF location is located at 75 Foothill Road, suite 4, in South Reno.
Meanwhile, they say the second Reno location, a roastery and café with patio seating in Midtown, is still in the works.
DCDS will be moving into the former Junkee building later this year.
DCDS says that hiring is ongoing for both locations, with an immediate need for baristas in South Reno.
