Sparks crash

A driver is facing a DUI charge after Sparks Police say they caused a three-vehicle crash Thursday night.

Police say it happened just after 6 p.m. at the intersection of East Greg Street and Veterans Parkway, where the road turns into Sparks Boulevard.

They say the driver of a BMW travelling northbound on Veterans Parkway lost control and ran a red light, leading to a crash with a Dodge Charger and a Mini Cooper in the intersection.

The driver of the Charger was treated for minor injuries. Three people in the Mini Cooper were taken to the hospital; one is currently in critical condition. 

45-year-old Reno resident Jeremy Shriver was taken to the hospital and was treated before being booked into the Washoe County Jail.

He's facing multiple charges including, DUI causing substantial bodily harm and reckless driving.
