UPDATE - JUNE 30:
Secret Witness is now offering a reward, with the amount to be determined, for information leading to the identification of the deceased person and the circumstances surrounding the case.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office said the person was found wrapped in blankets and in an advanced state of decomposition. Investigators believe the person may have died elsewhere before being left in the roadside ditch.
In addition to asking anyone who was in the area between April 29 and May 2 to come forward, detectives are also seeking information from anyone who may know when the body was left at the location, who may have left it there or who can help identify the deceased or any potential suspect(s).
ORIGINAL STORY - MAY 27:
Washoe County deputies are again asking for the public's help after a body was found in an open field near Estates Road and East Patrician Drive earlier this month.
Washoe County deputies responded to a report of a possible body in the North Valleys area on May 2nd.
After they arrived, they confirmed the person was dead, and detectives with the Sheriff's Office were called to the scene.
Detectives are asking anyone who frequents or recreates on the trails or hills north of Estates Road, also known as the dirt extension of Estates Road, to contact investigators if they observed anything suspicious or out of the ordinary between April 29 and May 2, or if they believe they may have information related to this case.
