A 78-year-old driver is dead after his car collided with a semi-truck on U.S. 95 in Fallon last week. 

Nevada Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 9:15 a.m. last Tuesday, just south of Paiute Drive. 

NHP says a preliminary investigation indicates that a 2024 Dodge Hornet was heading south on U.S. 95 when the driver crossed into the oncoming lane and crashed into a 1999 Kenworth semi-truck. 

NHP says the Dodge driver, Thomas Waljeski of Malibu, died four days later in a hospital. 

The Nevada Highway Patrol Major Incident Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash.Â
