Deputies Report First Mining Site Death of 2020 in Eureka County

A business owner is in custody after a joint law enforcement operation investigating drug activity at a Eureka bar and restaurant.

The Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force and Eureka County Sheriff's office have been investigating drug activity at the Owl Club over the past year and successfully made two undercover drug purchases.

On February 26th, deputies, detectives, and officers from Eureka County, Elko County, Lincoln County, Nevada State Police and Las Vegas Metro Police served a search warrant at the Owl Club and an attached residence. 

During the search, guns, drug paraphernalia and narcotics were found on the property.

Owl Club owner Eleny Mentaberry was arrested on the following charges: 

  • 2 counts of Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale
  • 2 counts of an Unauthorized Act with Methamphetamine
  • 1 count of maintaining a building or structure to keep or sell methamphetamine.

The Eureka County Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing, and more charges are pending.
