Damonte Ranch fire

An investigation is underway after fire crews responded to two fires in south Reno early Monday morning. 

The first one broke out around 6:10 a.m. near a storage unit near Damonte Ranch Parkway and Double R Blvd. 

Once that fire was contained, crews dealt with a second fire nearby in a ditch, about a half-hour later. 

Both fires were contained, and fire crews believe they were started by homeless encampments. 

No one was hurt.Â
