The Food Bank of Northern Nevada is once again offering meals for kids this summer through their Kids Café program.

The program offers hot food for kids aged 2-18 in northern Nevada - the meals must be eaten on-site.

The following locations in the Reno/Sparks area will be serving meals:

North Valleys

  • North Valleys Library - 1075 N Hill Blvd (June 9 - August 2, Mon-Sat): Serving lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Panther Valley Park - 400 Western Road (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
  • O'Brien Middle School - 5000 Silver Lake Road (June 9 - August 8, Mon-Fri): Serving breakfast from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and lunch from 12:00-12:30 p.m.
  • North Valleys Regional Park - Waterpark - 8085 Silver Lake Road (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
  • Essex Manor - 2330 Wedekind Road (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 11:00-11:30 a.m.

Sun Valley

  • Sun Valley Community Park - 115 W. 6th Avenue (June 16 - August 2): Pool serving lunch from 1:15-1:30 p.m. - skate park serving lunch from 1:30-1:45 p.m.

Reno

  • Lemelson Elementary School - 2001 Soaring Eagle Drive (June 11 - August 8, Mon-Fri): Serving breakfast from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and lunch from 12:00-12:30 p.m.
  • Community Gardens Apartments - 2330 Wedekind Road (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 1:15-1:45 p.m.
  • Jessie Beck Elementary School - 1900 Sharon Way (June 11 - August 8): Serving breakfast from 8:30-9:00 a.m. and lunch from 12:00-12:30 p.m.
  • Northern Nevada HOPES - 580 W 5th Street (June 9 - August 2, Mon-Fri): Serving food from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Downtown Reno Library - 301 S Center Street (June 8 - August 2, Mon-Fri): Serving lunch from 11:00-11:30 a.m.
  • Virginia Lake Park - 1980 Lakeside Drive (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 11:00-11:30 a.m.
  • Sierra View Library - 4001 S Virginia Street (June 9 - August 2, Mon-Sat): Serving lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
  • Yori Park - 2800 Yori Ave (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m.
  • Park on Virginia Apartments - 3295 S. Virginia Street (June 16 - August 2): Serving lunch from 12:30-1:00 p.m.
