Four people were arrested following the serving of a high-risk search warrant in Sun Valley on Thursday.
It happened at a home on Gerdes Avenue, according to a release from the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.
The warrant was issued after a weeks-long investigation that determined the home was allegedly being used for drug law violations, storing stolen property, and storing stolen cars.
Evidence found in the search linked the property to more than 10 active criminal investigations in the region.
While serving the warrant, multiple people were arrested on charges ranging from child abuse to possession of stolen property.
Kenneth Dunkle was arrested on two charges of possession of stolen property, Wilfred Orozco was arrested on a charge of child abuse and neglect, and Bobbie Dunkin was arrested on a charge of failure to comply warrant.
One other person was arrested on a charge of obstructing and resisting a public officer. That person was not identified in the release.
"I commend every member of the Sheriff's Office who participated in investigating and serving this search warrant yesterday," Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam said. "I encourage every member of our community to be alert and if you see something, say something.”
Members of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Special Weapons and Tactics Team, K-9 Unit, and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were involved in serving the search warrant.
The investigation is ongoing, and there is no threat to the public.
