A funeral is set for Sunday for one of the victims killed in last month’s mass shooting at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno.
Angel Martinez’s GoFundMe page says the service will be at Mountain View Mortuary at 425 Stoker Avenue in Reno starting at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow at 4 p.m.
A family member who organized his GoFundMe’s webpage says, “We want to thank each and every one of you for the love, prayers, and support you have shown our family during this heartbreaking time. Because of your generosity, we are able to give our beloved Tio Angel the beautiful services he deserves, surrounded by family, friends, and all who loved him.”
She adds, “we welcome everyone who wishes to join us in remembering and honoring his life.”
The 66-year-old was one of three people shot on July 28 outside the GSR. 33-year-olds Justin Aguila and Andrew Canepa also died. Three other people were injured.
The suspect died several days later after being shot by police.
