A growing Greek street food restaurant is expanding in Reno and marking the occasion with a free meal for the community.
Nick the Greek is opening its second location in Reno on Tuesday, April 21, following its first local debut in 2023.
To celebrate the opening, the restaurant is offering free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All people in line will receive one complimentary entrée per person, including options such as gyros and souvlaki.
The new location is at 10310 N. McCarran Blvd., Suite 400.
Nick the Greek was founded in 2014 in Northern California by three cousins known as Big Nick, Little Nick, and Baby Nick. The company has expanded across several states, including Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Kansas, Tennessee, and Texas.
The menu features street food-style offerings with gyro meats cooked in-house on a vertical rotisserie, charbroiled souvlaki skewers, sauces, vegetables, and desserts such as baklava and loukoumades.
The company marked 10 years in business in 2024 and has expanded its footprint significantly over the past three years.
It is opening in northwest Reno.
