The Human Bean raised more than $15,000 for Community Health Alliance during their annual Coffee for a Cure fundraiser last month.
During the event, 100% of proceeds and tips earned from all five Reno and Sparks locations are donated to support breast cancer screenings and navigation services for uninsured and underinsured women in northern Nevada.
The total amount raised this year was $15,002.10, according to a release from Community Health Alliance.
“Thanks to the generosity of our community and The Human Bean, these funds will help ensure that women in need have access to life-saving breast cancer screenings,” said Community Health Alliance’s Cancer Care Coordinator Maria Partida.
